DALLAS — Lauren Anne Baker and Matthew Edward Dickson, both of Dallas, were wed May 10 at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas. Officiating was the Rev. Dennis Nixon.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Baker and Steven Baker, both of Dallas. Her grandparents are Jim and June Chaus of Greenwich, Connecticut and Robert and Beverly Baker of Overland, Kansas. She is a graduate of Bishop Lynch Catholic High School, the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology, and Southwestern Medical School, earning her doctor’s degree. She will begin her residency in dermatology this summer.
Dickson is the son of Dr. Mark and Theresa Dickson of Sherman. His grandparents are Edward and Elizabeth Ann Wuermser of Richardson and Catherine Dickson and the late Hal Dickson of San Angelo. He is a graduate of Sherman High School and Southern Methodist University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He works in the loan syndication and trading unit of Markit Ltd.
Maid of honor was Dr. Emily Rapstine and matron of honor was Dr. Elaine Spaeth. Bridesmaids were Catherine Dickson and Rebekah Dickson, sisters of the groom, Ashley Deweese, Alexa Ramirez and Heather Howard.
Best man was Tyler Walvoord and groomsmen were Thomas Dickson, the groom’s brother, Michael McKinley, Patrick McKinley, Chris Spaeth, Kevin Parker Thompson and Michael Grueber.
Ushers were Scott Riggle and Matthew Fraziers. Wedding music was provided by the Serenata Strings and guest registrar was Katie McKinley.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s mother hosted a reception at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Hotel St. Germaine.
The couple resides in Dallas after a trip to St. Lucia.
Pre-wedding events included: a shower in Sherman, hosted by Kate Whitfield and Sandy Jarvis; and a bridesmaids luncheon at the Aldridge House in Dallas, hosted by Ann McKinley, Angela Williams, Lisa-Amm Wuermser and Laura Folk, the groom’s aunts.
