Former Denison teacher indicted

A Denison woman was indicted this week on charges that she had an improper relationship with a student while she was a teacher.

Grand jurors indicted Julie Priddy-Bollinger on one count of improper relationship between a educator and student. The indictment is a formal charge and not an indication of guilt.

Previously published reports say that the alleged relationship was reported to Denison Police Department on June 3 by a Denison Independent School District administrator after a school investigation into allegations about the alleged relationship. Priddy-Bollinger resigned from the district after DISD officials turned the information over to police.

On July 2, the DPD took the case to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office. Priddy-Bollinger is represented by Dallas attorney Todd Shapiro who said he has yet to see any evidence in the case because the district attorney is not required to show the defense anything until after an indictment. He said, at this point, he really has no more information about the case than he did when his client was charged except that the charge has now been made more formal with the indictment.
