DURANT, Okla. — Police in Durant and Calera have arrested a man who allegedly robbed two stores earlier this week.
Shortly before noon Monday, police responded to an armed robbery at a liquor store in the 110 block of N. 10th Avenue. An employee said that a man had entered the store carrying a small, black bag. The man told the employee that he was desperate and needed all the money. The man presented a pistol and the employee opened the cash register, took out all the money and placed it in the black bag. The suspect exited the store and the employee lost sight of him.
A short time later there was report of a robbery at a pharmacy in Calera, Okla. Calera Police got into pursuit with the suspect of that robbery and he was subsequently arrested.
Tuesday, police interviewed the suspect about the robbery that occurred in Durant. The suspect admitted to robbing the liquor store using a BB pistol. Charges will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.
