A Pottsboro man is facing felony aggravated assault charges for allegedly pointing a gun at six people during a road rage incident.
On July 4, a Denison Police Officer responded to the 300 block of West Crawford after receiving a report of a man pointing a gun at people inside a moving car. Multiple witnesses said that the suspect, identified during the investigation as a 25-year-old Pottsboro man, pointed a handgun at them after the car they were riding in and the suspect’s car almost collided on Austin Avenue.
A Denison Police Detective was able to obtain six felony warrants for the suspect from the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.
Police arrested the suspect on those warrants on Friday. He posted bail of $10,000 on each charge and was released.
“This is another great example of how diligent, professional police work, along with the assistance of the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office, helped bring this person to justice,” said Denison Police Chief Jay Burch.
