Semi-truck driver falls asleep at wheel, crashes on 75

An accident involving a semi-truck Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 75 caused two people to be taken to the hospital.

At about 7:45 a.m., a semi-truck was traveling southbound on 75 when the driver fell asleep at the wheel, said Sherman Police Sgt. Kevin Hudson. The semi-truck struck the divider on the bridge over Center Street. No other vehicles were involved.

Responders took the driver and the passenger of the semi-truck to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Hudson said.
