Sherman Police and the FBI are investigating a robbery that happened Monday at a bank located inside a grocery store in the 1800 block of Loy Lake Road.
Shortly before 5 p.m., a black, male suspect handed a letter to the bank clerk demanding money, said a written release from Sherman Police Sgt. D.M. Hampton. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Witnesses recorded the vehicle’s license plate, which led to a potential suspect. The FBI were called in to assist with the investigation.
No one was hurt during the robbery, Hampton said. The investigation is ongoing.
