David and Brenda Brychta of Denison celebrated their 50th anniversary with an open house at their home on Sept. 28. Hosting the event was their daughter, Christine West.
The Brychtas were married Sept. 28, 1963 in Denver, Colo. at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Attendants were: Judy Brychta (Dollins), maid of honor; Patricia Chapin (Jacquot), bridesmaid; Jerry Chapin, best man; and William Anderson, Bob Pache and Paul Babcock, ushers.
Brenda Brychta was born in Lexington, Neb., daughter of the late Verle Francis and Naomi Brand Francis Ness. She worked as a medical officer manager and retired from the Grayson County clerk’s office.
David Brychta was born in Marysville, Kan., son of the late Leon and Ann Kathe Brychta. He is a printer by trade and retired from the Wall Street Journal in Dallas.
The Brychtas are members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison and have one child and five grandchildren.
