Olan and Mildred Bullard of Sherman will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this week. The Bullards were married oct. 17, 1952 in Whitesboro.
Mildred Bullard was born in Sadler, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Hazelwood. She graduated from Southmayd High School and worked at several companies through the years, including the City of Wichita Falls. She also supported her husband in his many years of ministry.
Olan Bullard was born in Rock Creek, the son of John and Ina Bullard. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Tampa, Florida. After serving in the military, he graduated from Decatur Baptist College and served as a pastor for Baptist churches across Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois.
Both attend Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman where they are involved in ministry and volunteer workk. Olan Bullard also fills in to preach whenever needed.
The Bullards have four children — Beverly Bond of Sherman, Eugene Bullard of Archer City, David Bullard of Richardson and Carolyn Spencer of San Antonio. There are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
