Cecil and Mary Cordell
Cecil and Mary Cordell of Sherman recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Calvary Baptist Church in Sherman.
The Cordells both attended Sherman High School and were married Jan. 2, 1953 at Central Baptist Church in Sherman.
Mary Cordell was a wife and mother and volunteered her time working with children in church, school Camp Fire Girls and Cub Scouts.
Cecil Cordell served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Grayson College. He is retired from Applied Technologies (King Bearing).
The Cordells children are Evelyn Cordell, Bill Cordell and his wife, Karen, Kenneth Cordell and Bonnie Smith and her husband, Tim. They have two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
