Sellers — 50th


ECTOR — Tommy and Betty Sellers of Ector will be honored with a 50th wedding anniversary reception on Jan. 27. The celebration will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Ector School cafetorium and is open to friends and family. The couple requests no gifts. Hosts are their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Chris, LeAnn and Tiffany Sellers of Ector.

The Sellers were married on Feb. 1, 1963 at the Ector Methodist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Glen Selander.

Betty Sellers was born in Bonham, the daughter of Bill and Ottie Finnell. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Ector School for 20- years, retiring in 2000.

Tommy Sellers was born in Yuba, Oklahoma, the son of Hershel and Madge Sellers. He worked for six years at Southwest Pump Company in Bonham and then 36 years at General Cable in Bonham, retiring in 2005. After retiring, he drove cars for Hoyte Dodge in Sherman for five years.

Both are members of Ecctor Baptist Church.
