Tasker honored
Rosemary Tasker was honored March 23 with a 75th birthday party at Stonebrook in Denison. About 40 guests, including the Tasker’s son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Luann Tasker of Wichita Falls, attended the celebration hosted by Kathy Cleland and Jane Keele.
Music was provided by Callie, Cody and Logan Maxwell. Photographers were Mitch Tasker and Alvin Keele. Gifts were recorded by Wanda Bush.
AARP driving class
DURANT, Okla. — An American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) driving class will be sponsored April 30 by the Bryan County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. The class will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and will be held at the Robert T. Davis Senior Center in Durant.
The driving class is a refresher course of classroom instruction. It is open to all Oklahoma licensed drivers of any age.

Corvette Show
POTTSBORO — The 11th annual Corvette Show benefiting the Pottsboro Kids Club is set for May 4 at 413 S. Franklin St. in downtown Pottsboro. In case of rain, the show will be rescheduled for May 11.
Registration will run from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and there will be a $25 entry fee for contestants. The fee includes lunch for two. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 Corvettes entered. Immediate parking will be given with pre-registration. Participant judging will run from 11 a.m. until noon and awards will be presented at 1:30 p.m. In addition to participant judging, a variety of specialty awards will also be given.
