Senior dance

WHITESBORO — A Christmas dance for persons age 50 and older will be held from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. this Friday at the community center, 400 Wilson Street, in Whitesboro. Live music will be provided by the Ramblin’ Fever Band.

There is no smoking allowed inside the building, and no alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Villager’s concert

The Villager’s Chorale will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. this Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church, 2800 Canyon Creek and Heritage Parkway, in Sherman. The performance is free and open to the public.

The chorale features singers from the north Texas area, and the program will include sacred and secular holiday selections. The group is under the direction of Charles Sivley of Greenville. Tammy Overturf of Denison serves as the accompanist.

CAC benefit

BONHAM — The Creative Arts Center in Bonham is currently holding a playhouse fundraiser. Chances are available for a $5 donation each or six for $20.

The playhouse, which can also be used as a unique storage shed, is now in display at the southeaster corner of the Bonham swuare and is themed “A Children’s Greenhouse.” It was donated by The Fannin County Adult Community Supervision Department, Richard Glaser and Judge Lauri Blake.
