BONHAM — Jimmy and Carolyn Johnson of Ector will be honored June 24 with a 50th wedding anniversary reception. The celebration will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Elizabeth May room of the American Bank of Texas in Bonham. Hosts will be the couple’s sons and daughters-in-law. The reception is open to family and friends, and the couple requests no gifts.
The Johnsons were married June 16, 1962 at the Bailey Baptist Church in Bailey.
Carolyn Johnson is the daughter of the late Bill and Willie Call. She retired from the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham.
Jimmy Johnson is the son of the late J.B. Johnson and Marie Johnson. He graduated from Ector High School and is retired from Southwest Pump Company in Bonham.
Both are members of the Church of Christ in Ector.
The Johnson’s sons and daughters-in-law are Terry Johnson and his wife, Verna, anbd Scott Johnson and his wife, Debbie, all of Ector. There are six grandchildren.
