SAN ANTONIO — Ashley Nicole Patton and Chase Worthington Butler, both of San Antonio, were wed June 1 at the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Officiating was Dr. David Tobin Snowden of Cedar Hill.
The bride is the daughter of Sheldon and Mary Patton and the granddaughter of Clifford and Patricia Patton and Ronald “Pete” and Clevie Newell, all of Sherman. She is a graduate of Sherman High School, the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and is an associate in the law office of Arthur Augustine.
The groom is the son of Judge Charles and Karen Butler of Bonham. His grandparents are Patricia Liddell of Harlingen, the late Jack McElhannon and the late G.C. and Martha Butler. He is a graduate of Bonham High School, the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and is a partner in the law firm of La Hood & Butler in San Antonio.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Emiley Patton. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Butler, sister of the groom, Hayley Davis, cousin of the bride, Jenelle Anderson, Jori Stern, Megan Lackey and Lindsey Berwick.
Best man was Chris Stoy and groomsmen were Brett Gray, Kyle Gray and Hunter Liddell, cousins of the groom, Trent Richardson, Dustin Clark and Chris Hughes.
Ushers were Hart Liddell, cousin of the groom, and Sergio Ybarra.
Wedding music was provided by Morgan Moffitt and Dr. Trey Davis, cousins of the bride, Eric Johnson, and Morgan Hopson.
Scripture reader was Caitlin Butler.
A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the Witte Museum in San Antonio.
The couple resides in San Antonio after a trip to the Riviera Maya Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
Pre-wedding events included: a shower at the Creative Arts Center in Bonham, hosted by Debbie Hopson, Morgan Hopsin, Caitlin Butler, Doris Shockley, Pat Smith and Leslie Young; and a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” shower in Sherman, hosted by Carolyn Konkle, Rhonda Davis, Hayley Davis, Cindy Moffitt, Sherri Albert, Lori Huntsman, Lisa Hill and Debbie Fulton.
