Fatality wreck in Denison still under investigation

Denison police are asking anyone who witnessed a red car hitting a home on the corner of Morton Street and Armstrong Avenue in Denison last Thursday to give them a call.

DPD spokesperson Mike Eppler said the investigation into the wreck that killed 28-year-old Jennifer Comstock and her unborn child is ongoing.

He did release the name of the person police say was driving the red car when it hit Ms. Comstock’s residence. Eppler said Richard Allen Taylor Jr., has not been charged with anything at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

“If anyone saw it or knows anything about it, we would love to hear from them,” Eppler said. He said anyone with information about the wreck can call the police at 903-465-2422.

Eppler said the police department has received a number of calls from people who are upset because it appears to them that nothing is being done about the young woman’s death. “They just don’t understand how investigations work,” Eppler said.

He said all of the information the DPD puts together on the crash will be turned over to the Grayson County District Attorney’s office. It will then be up to the D.A. to decide what to do with the information.
