A Sherman man was flown to a Plano hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a car while running across FM 1417 at Center Street in Sherman.
Sherman Police Department Sgt. D.M. Hampton said the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. The man who was hit was conscious at the scene, but reportedly had a head injury along with other injuries. Hampton said the man’s injuries weren’t believed to be life threatening.
Police determined that the driver, who was traveling south on 1417, wasn’t speeding, Hampton said. No criminal charges relating to the incident are expected to be filed.
