Pottsboro City Council to consider four local boards

POTTSBORO — The Pottsboro City Council members will consider appointments and possible restructuring on four local boards and commissions during their regular meeting Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 528 Hwy. 120 E.

City Manager Kevin Farley will present the different governing boards to the Council, beginning with the Park and Recreation Commission Board. The Council will consider restructuring that Board followed by re-appointing members to the Pottsboro Community Development Corporation Board, Keep Pottsboro Beautiful Commission Board and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Farley will also start the meeting with his city manager report, during which he will discuss the New Park Project and upcoming events in the city.

An ordinance calling for a general election to be held in the city on May 11 will also be considered, followed by an ordinance to re-adopt the city’s current investment policies.

A construction change order and performance statement modification for the Texas Capital Fund Infrastructure Grant Project will be reviewed by Council members before they decide on any action needed. Phase II of the street paving improvements will be considered in relation to the engineering, surveying and construction management service.

Farley will also present the 2013 spring park usage agreement with the Pottsboro Youth Association to the Council.
