The Texoma Council of Governments Board will consider, on Thursday, a two-phase insurance premium increase for employees, after employees voted in favor of keeping the current plan with an increase instead of a less expensive one that would only cover generic prescriptions. The Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Eisenhower Room of the TCOG Building, 1117 Gallagher Drive in Sherman.
The proposed plan calls for a $15 increase to $35 premium per month effective Jan. 1 and another increase the next year to $50. The Board will also receive a report from its president about the selection of an Executive Director Evaluation Committee.
In other business, Board members will consider:
• the creation of the positions of lead maintenance mechanic and maintenance mechanic aide as Public Housing Maintenance job categories;
• submission of an application to the Environmental Protection Agency for $400,000 for brownfield site assessments; and
• interlocal agreements with Cooke, Grayson and Fannin counties and the cities of Denison, Gunter and Van Alstyne for geographic information systems services.
