DALLAS – A four-run seventh inning on powered by a two-run single by Mark Frank helped Southeastern open the 2013 season with a 5-3 road win over Northwood on Tuesday afternoon.
The Savage Storm tallied four hits as a team and each team had to fight through three defensive errors in the contest.
Ryan Salter, Vance Woodruff, Aaron Chalk and Frank each collected a hit, with Frank adding the two RBI, while Chalk and Salter each drove in a run as well.
Eddie Cervantes picked up the win in relief after allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with three strikeouts.
The Storm will be back on the road to play in the Holiday Inn Emerald Beach South Texas Baseball Classic held at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi Friday through Sunday.
