CELINA — For someone who never touched the ball, Jake Raulerson made an impact on almost every play
A major roadblock for opposing offenses, the Celina senior has been named the Herald Democrat All-Texomaland Class 3A-4A Defensive Player of the Year.
Raulerson finished the season with 54 tackles, 31 solo, five and a half sacks and two forced fumbles as the Bobcats went 10-3 and reached the 3A Division II Region II semifinals.
He was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year in District 10-3A.
Raulerson, who has enrolled early at the University of Texas, was also a standout on the offensive line and was named a first-team Class 3A all-state selection for his play on that side of the ball.
