BLUE RIDGE — Bryce Skotnicki was 3-for-3 with a grand slam and an RBI double as Blue Ridge edged Celeste in district play on Monday.
Thomas Weatherford was 3-for-4, scored twice and earned the win while Brady Elliott chipped in three hits for Blue Ridge (7-5-1, 1-1), which plays at Avery at 2 p.m. on Thursday and hosts Ector at 2 p.m. on Friday.
Wolfe City 17, Dodd City 2 (5)
WOLFE CITY — Justin Wilkinson doubled twice, scored three runs and had four RBI as Wolfe City run-ruled Dodd City in district action on Monday.
Malik Gaffney scored three times and drove in three, Angus Kirkpatrick walked three times and Chris Adams and Brandon Fish chipped in two RBI apiece for Wolfe City (3-5-1, 1-1).
Trenton 26, Campbell 0 (5)
TRENTON — Slater Stone was 3-for-4 with two RBI as Trenton run-ruled Campbell in district action on Monday.
Bailey Burks struck out six in two innings and combined with Stone and Wyatt Beezley on a one-hitter, Kever Wylie was 2-for-2 and drove in three while Brandon Stone was 2-for-2 with two RBI for Trenton (6-4, 1-1), which hosts Bonham for a double-header at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Bland 10, Sam Rayburn 4
MERIT — Clark Hopkins hit a three-run homer in Sam Rayburn’s district loss against Bland on Monday.
Kirk Sanders was 3-for-3 and Zakk Rhodes chipped in a sacrifice fly for Sam Rayburn (6-6, 1-1), which returns to action on March 19 for a district game at Celeste.
