Girls Basketball Roundup — Bonham opens district season with loss

District 12-3A

Princeton 63, Bonham 34

BONHAM — Madeline Dolberry had nine points as Bonham opened district play with a loss to Princeton on Friday night.

Kelsey Watkins scored seven points, Kala Simpson added five points and Madison Porter and Kenzie Rattan chipped in four apiece for Bonham.

District 11-2A

Tom Bean 43, Whitewright 32

TOM BEAN — Maddi Cavender had 12 points and 11 rebounds as Tom Bean defeated Whitewright in district action on Friday night.

Katie Jones scored 10 points, Sydnee Kane added six points and Ronni Trentman finished with five points and nine rebounds for Tom Bean.

Callisburg 57, Bells 48

CALLISBURG — Kalli Byrom scored 14 points as Callisburg defeated Bells in district action on Friday night.

Amberly Colwell added 10 points and 16 rebounds for the Lady Wildcats.

Emily Fagan had 18 points, five rebounds and four steals while Macy Sanders added eight points, 11 rebounds and four steals and Katie Moore chipped in six points and four rebounds for Bells.

Pottsboro 60, S&S 40

SADLER — Macie O’Hanlon made five three-pointers and scored 22 points as Pottsboro defeated S&S in district action on Friday night.

Cara Worsham had 11 points and Tatum Marburger chipped in five points, five steals and five assists for Pottsboro (14-7, 4-1), which hosts Bells on Tuesday.

Brittany Lancaster scored 16 points while Charlene Hudson and Britney Williams had nine points apiece for S&S, which hosts Tom Bean.

District 12-2A

Gunter 60, Caddo Mills 30

GUNTER — Regan Hestand had 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists as Gunter defeated Caddo Mills in district action on Friday night.

Rachel Campbell and Mackenzie Mazerolle each finished with 10 points and Jaimie Hughes chipped in nine points for Gunter (15-8, 4-0), which travels to Pilot Point on Tuesday night.

District 15-A (I)

Sam Rayburn 61, Boles 16

QUINLAN — Heather Mason had 15 points and six rebounds as Sam Rayburn defeated Boles in district action on Saturday.

Cassidy Hall and Sarah Foreman each scored 13 points, Talon Wilkerson chipped in seven points and Torri Pannell finished with five points, five assists and four steals for Sam Rayburn (20-5, 6-0), which hosts second-place Celeste on Tuesday night.

Savoy 56, Fannindel 31

LADONIA — Emily Cornell scored 15 points as Savoy defeated Fannindel in district play on Friday night.

Lindsey Stone added 11 points, Hannah White had eight points and Katie Gibson and Jerica Isom chipped in seven points apiece for the Lady Cardinals.
