Denison soccer fourth at BWW tourney

KAUFMAN — The Denison girls soccer team took fourth at the Buffalo Wild Wings Tournament after a 1-0 loss against Princeton on Saturday in an event moved to Kaufman from Sherman because of weather.

Earlier in the day the Lady Jackets defeated Bonham, 3-0, for their first win of the season. Maria Jaimes had a goal and an assist, Zoie Voight and Harley Goodin scored and Angel O’Brien chipped in two assists. Ashley Wood made four saves to earn the shutout for Denison.

In tourney action on Friday night, Erin Armstrong made six saves as the Lady Jackets played a scoreless tie against Dallas Jefferson.

Denison will play at Decatur on Tuesday.
