Former Pottsboro runner Nathan Collier set a Texas-San Antonio indoor record in the 1,000-meter run last weekend in the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York.
Collier clocked a program-record time of 2:27.32 en route to a 13th-place performance in the 1,000. That broke the previous school mark of 2:29.32 set by Albert Cardenas two years ago.
Collier now owns three school records at two colleges, with records in the mile and distance medley relay at Stephen F. Austin.
Collier was also part of UTSA’s distance medley relay team which placed second in 10:13.72.
