SADLER — Jessika Dyke had a pair of hits, including a home run, and scored twice as S&S defeated Howe, 5-3, to force a four-way tie in the District 11-2A standings with four games remaining.
S&S, Howe, Callisburg and Tom Bean are all 5-5 in district play behind leading Whitewright and second-place Whitesboro.
Shelby Bennett added two hits and two RBI, Paige Porter struck out 11 while chipping in a double and a run and Brittany Butler scored twice for the Lady Rams.
Whitesboro 9, Callisburg 8
WHITESBORO — Selena Yanez’s single scored Tori Perkins in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Whitesboro to a district victory over Callisburg on Monday.
Moriah Mitcheson drove in three runs, Alexus Vanlandingham tripled and scored three runs and Ashley Griffin and Katie Dean each had two hits and scored twice for Whitesboro, which scored all but one run in the final three innings.
Callisburg scored seven of its runs during the fifth inning.
Bells 4, Tom Bean 2
TOM BEAN — Katie Branam hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning and scored one of two Bells runs in the seven as the Lady Panthers defeated Tom Bean in district action on Monday night.
Ellen Richards struck out 11 and Makenzi Davis doubled for Bells.
Sarah Henderson had an RBI single and Annie Bailey struck out 10 for Tom Bean (14-8, 5-5), which fell into a tie with Howe, Callisburg and S&S for third place. The Lady Tomcats play at Howe at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Whitewright 20, Pottsboro 0 (4)
POTTSBORO — Sydney Brummett homered and drove in four runs as Whitewright clinched a playoff spot with a run-rule victory against Pottsboro on Monday.
Tucker Caraway had an inside-the-park homer and allowed just one hit, Keely Selman was 3-for-4 and Anna Shope doubled for Whitewright (22-2, 9-1), which hosts S&S on Friday.
Tom Bean 13, Callisburg 7
TOM BEAN — Brennon Montgomery was 3-for-4, including a triple, and had four RBI as Tom Bean defeated Callisburg in district action on Monday.
Logan LeDane was 3-for-5 with three RBI and three runs while Payton Jones and Caden Gomez each tripled for Tom Bean (6-12, 3-5), which plays at Howe on Friday.
Kordon Ward doubled and Tanner Thurman tripled for Callisburg.
