My husband Jonathan and I both graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Okla. Wednesday night, the 35th annual First Week Follies were held at the school. It is one of the most-loved OC traditions.
Since we moved into our house almost two years ago, Jonathan and I have been working to improve it. So far, we've bought a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a vent hood, replaced a few light fixtures and completely redone the small bathroom.
This weekend, our dog, Libby, got to meet my parents' new puppy, KayDee Belle. Libby just turned 3 last July 4, and KayDee Belle is less than 6 months old. Dogs at these ages have very different attitudes.
With the events at the Boston Marathon this week, everyone is remembering the tragedies that affected them most. For me, that was the Oklahoma City bombing, and today is the 18th anniversary of that event.
Recently I decided it was time to finally go see a podiatrist (foot doctor). Both my big toes have ingrown toenails on both sides, and they've been bothering me for a while. They didn't hurt all the time, but stubbing my toe, even just a little tap, hurts like crazy.
When I was a junior in high school, I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award. When I tell people this, I usually get a confused face when I get to the 'Gold Award' part. Unlike the Boy Scouts' Eagle rank, the Gold Award isn't as well known.
